Sales Tax

The Internet Tax Freedom Act (ITFA), which was signed into law on October 21, 1998, prevents sales and use taxes on any and all commerce conducted over the Internet. State and local governments are allowed to impose sales and use taxes on all such electronic sales, provided that the tax (and its rate) are the same as that which would be imposed on the transactions if they were conducted in a more traditional manner, such as over the phone or through mail order.

The ITFA is intended to prevent any jurisdiction from imposing special taxes on internet transactions, other than such taxes that a jurisdiction already has the ability to impose. The ITFA prevents the imposition of any such taxes through November 1, 2014.

Currently, most e-commerce companies use ITFA taxation rules used by mail order companies, which are based on constitutional guidelines for interstate commerce. Generally, this means that states can only require companies to collect state tax in states where they have business operations, and as a result, a company will not collect state tax in states where they have no business operations. If someone were to order something from one of our catalogs that person would only be charged sales tax if he or she shipped his or her order to a state where La Perla Home has physical operations.

Shipping Policy

Orders are processed pending availability and payment verification. Orders placed on Friday after 3:00pm PST will be processed on the following Monday. We will contact you with a follow-up email if the merchandise you have selected is not currently in stock. All orders ship via USPS first class parcel, FEDEX or UPS as specified in shipping instructions by customer. Expected arrival is 5 business days or less. Delivery time does not include Sundays or holidays. Free shipping on purchases over $150.00.

Returns and Exchanges

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item for a refund or an exchange once the following criteria is met:

- The returned item(s) must be received within 30 days of purchase
- Items must be returned in its original packaging.
- Items must be in its original condition. We reserve the right to inspect the returned merchandise and decide whether the item is eligible for return.
- Once we receive the returned merchandise, we will credit your account within 10 business days. Shipping charges are non refundable.

Convenient Returns

Returning an item is a snap. Simply complete the Return and Exchange form you received with your shipment. We recommend you insure the package and have it traceable. Please send your returns to:

We'll handle your return within 10 business days of receipt. Returns will be processed to the credit card of the initial purchase. If you received the item as a gift, we will be happy to give you a store credit for the price paid by the original purchaser.

Easy Exchanges

Return merchandise using our easy and convenient return process, and order your new merchandise at the same time by calling our Customer Service Center. We will bill your credit card for the new merchandise and refund your credit card for the returned merchandise as soon as we receive it. All exchanges will be processed as standard shipping unless specified.

Damaged or Defective Products
